Canadian Thanksgiving '08

The next Loose Moose date for all those thirsty, chatty Canuks and Aussies wanting to catchup for a bit of socialising. Thursday Nov 20, Marble Bar, 109 Waymouth Street @ 6pm. Look forward to seeing you there for a chinwag. See the Functions page for more info.

Christmas is at our doorstep! (Yikes - that came round quick!) This year's Canadian Christmas get together breakfast will be held Sunday Dec 7 @ Bonython Park from 9am. And catering is being supplied by (a favourite of mine), The Pancake Kitchen offering us a Canadian breakfast feast! mmm - Get the Christmas '08 flier here.

The next Cafe Canuk -- a regular coffee break to complement our regular Loose Moose get togethers -- will be held at Cafe Komodo (118 Prospect Rd, behind the gift shop), Dec 13, from 10:30am.

Not a member of the ACA? New memberships and renewals are now being accepted (you can also save on the Thanksgiving lunch by being a member!). More information can be found on the Membership page. Be a part of ACA's year of 'Having Fun'.

About Us

We are a group of mainly Australians and Canadians; living, working and studying in South Australia who have an interest in meeting others with ties to Canada.

We celebrate special days such as Canada Day and Thanksgiving, and drink Canadian beers at our 'Loose Moose' pub evenings. We also have family friendly events such as children's Halloween parties, Pumpkin Pie competitions and Christmas get-togethers and Cafe Canuk mornings.

If you are moving to South Australia from Canada, we have a list of Frequently Asked Questions that may assist you.

Our newsletters for our members includes news from Canada and notices of upcoming club activities and general interest stories.

Membership fees are used to keep the club alive. With this money we fund club overheads and usually host a free event each year. The Australia Canada Association is kept going by a group of volunteers.
